Every family with a big dog and a small child has the same private belief about them, and almost nobody has a picture of it.

What do you do with photos of children?
Your reference photos are used to make your portrait and nothing else. They are never published, never used as a sample and never used to advertise. Every sample image on this site, including the one on this page, is entirely synthetic and shows no real child.
Can it be a cat instead of a dog?
Yes. The composition changes: the cat sits raised, on the arm of a chair or a windowsill, so it is above the child rather than beside them. The watchfulness is the same and it reads just as well.
Can I have two children in it?
