About This Style
Most people with two pets end up with two portraits, and two portraits are a pair of pictures. This is one picture of a relationship.
The composition is deliberate and it is the thing that took the longest to get right. Both animals sit side by side on a single wide throne, at the same height and the same scale, each in their own crimson and gold velvet robe and their own jeweled crown. Neither is raised above the other, neither is placed in front, and neither is a smaller version of the other in the background. They are joint monarchs of equal rank, and the picture is composed so that you cannot tell which one the household considers senior. Anyone who lives with two animals will recognise that as the diplomatic solution it is.
Send one photo with both pets in it if you have a good one. If you do not, and almost nobody does, the upload step will take a separate photo of each instead and we compose them together. That is the normal case rather than the exception.
It works for two dogs, two cats, or one of each, and the difference in size between them is not a problem. A very large animal and a very small one on the same throne is one of the better versions of this portrait.

I do not have a photo with both of my pets in it. Can I still order?
Yes, and most people cannot get that photo. The upload step offers a second option, one photo per pet instead of one photo of both, and we compose them into a single scene from there. A picture with both animals together works just as well if you happen to have one.
Can this be a dog and a cat?
Yes. Two dogs, two cats, or one of each. A noticeable size difference between the two is not a problem either; the throne is composed around whoever you send.
One of my two pets has passed away. Can I still order this?
Yes, and it is one of the reasons people order it. A portrait of both together is often the only picture of the two of them that exists.
